James Aaron “Jay” Luney, 47, of Rogersville, Mo. passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at his home.

He was born July 21, 1975, in Monett, Mo., the son of Larry Gene Luney, Sr. and Beulah Bernice (Withnell) Luney.

Preceding him in death was his father, Larry Gene Luney, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Beulah Walters; two sons, Lex Luney of Rogersville, Mo. and Oliver Luney of Rogersville, Mo.; two brothers, Larry Gene Luney, Jr. and his wife Helen of Purdy, Mo. and Jason Luney of Cassville, Mo.; four sisters, Michele Holenda and her husband Michael of Mo., Missouri, Falisha Turner and her husband Jeremy of Sarcoxie, Mo., Heather Jones and her husband Matt of Reeds, Mo. and Alicia Jackson and her husband Samuel of Granby, Mo..

He grew up and attended school in Cassville, Mo. He was employed as a truck driver and had driven for several different companies and had served in the United States Army National Guard.

Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
