Lucille Blanche “Lu” Brown

Lucille Blanche “Lu” Brown, passed away on July 8, 2023 at her home in Wheaton, Mo. after a short illness.

She was born September 13, 1940, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Elmer Morris and Zilphia Caselman Morris, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Otto John Brown; three brothers, Elmer Morris, Leroy Morris and Dallas Gulley and six sisters, Louise Shinkle, Peggy Shisler, Betty Harris, Sonja Heath, Mary Bragaw and Myrtle Martin.

Survivors include her beloved fur baby, Bella; two brothers, Joe Morris and Billy Morris; three sisters, Patty Kioh, Marilyn Morrison and Therese Oswald and many, many nieces, nephews and greats.

She worked at Sears and Roebuck Company where she met her husband.

She was The Grand Marshall of the Wheaton Christmas Parade in 2020 and was pretty proud of that honor. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wheaton.

Services were held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Wheaton, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.

Pastor Mark Hall and Pastor Kenneth Carney conducted the services. Burial was at Dice Cemetery in Fairview, Mo.
