Live-saving heart and stroke care recognized by AHA

Cox Monett Hospital recently received multiple accolades from the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guideline program for outstanding treatment of heart attacks and strokes. 

 As a certified Level III Stroke and STEMI Center, Cox Monett earned a series of achievement awards, including:  

• Rural Stroke (Gold)

• Rural Coronary Artery Disease STEMI (Gold) 

• Stroke (Gold Plus) with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll  

• Resuscitation Target: Survival  

• Resuscitation Bronze (Adult)  

• Coronary Artery Disease STEMI Referring Facility (Bronze)

The prestigious national awards highlight hospitals that consistently apply the most current evidence-based treatment guidelines aimed at improving patient outcomes and saving lives. Cox Monett achieved these accolades by meeting rigorous quality measures for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke and cardiac patients over a specific time frame. 

The rural hospital award program particularly recognizes hospitals that make significant strides in addressing the unique health challenges faced by rural communities. By participating in the Get With The Guidelines initiative, hospitals can achieve extra recognition based on early acute performance metrics.
