Monett Nazarene Church hosting Resource Fair
Monett Nazarene Church, located at 2141 Hwy. 37, will host a Community Day Resource Fair on Thursday, July 10, from 5-7 p.m. Another Fair will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14. Attendees can access free childcare, a free dinner, free legal consultation, free disability consultation and other free resources.
Final First on Front in Cassville July 11
The final First on Front concert for the year will be held on Friday, July 11, from 6-9 p.m. at the Cassville Aquatic Center Park. The event is free to attend, presented by First State Bank, and will feature live, local music and food trucks.
Sheltered Workshop hosting employee appreciation
The Monett Area Sheltered Workshop will host an employee appreciation event on July 11, beginning with lunch at noon. At 12:45 p.m., a certificate ceremony will be held; a ventriloquist is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.; and an ice cream truck will wrap up the day at 2:30 p.m. The Workshop is located at 204 S. Central, just west of Schreiber Foods.
Cox Monett Heart Health Classes ongoing
Cox Monett Hospital will host two more free Hearth Health Classes, one on Saturday, July 12, and another on Saturday, Aug. 9, both from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants will receive a heart-healthy lunch; learn basic, hands-on CPR skills (no certification); receive education on heart disease; and have the opportunity to ask questions directly to local healthcare professionals. Monett Community Church Kid’s Kamp 2025 upcoming
Monett Community Church, located at 2101 E. Cleveland St. in Monett, will host Kid’s Kamp 2025 from July 14-17, 9 a.m. to noon each day. The event, featuring games, music, crafts, snacks and Bible adventures, is for children ages kindergarten through fifth grade and is free to attend with registration at https://monettcommunitychurch.churchcenter.com
FUMC Family Movie Night on July 20
The First United Methodist Church, located at 1600 N. Central Ave. in Monett, will host Family Movie night on Sunday, July 20 at 6 p.m. in the Family Life Center (gym). Chairs will be available for use, but attendees may bring their own seating. Free popcorn and drinks will be available.
First Christian Church VBS starts July 21
Children four years through high school are invited to Magnifiy God’s Holy Name at First Christian Church, located at 4th and Wishart in Monett, from 9 a.m. to noon July 21-25. First Christian, Ozark Christian, Connection Point (formerly First Presbyterian) and St Stephen’s Episcopal are joining together for Bible stories, music, videos, crafts, snacks, games, and science, with a Mission project for clean water in Tanzania. Chariots of Grace biker ride on July 27
The Aurora-Monett Chariots of Grace CMA Chapter No. 891 will ride to Monett Nazarene Church, located at 2142 Hwy. 37, for Biker Sunday, sharing testimony and information about the organization and its “Run for the Son.” The ride will begin in Cassville at the Life Change parking lot, located at 404 Hwy. 248 in Cassville, meeting at 9 a.m. and leaving at 9:15 a.m. The ride will go through Cassville, Butterfield and Purdy before ending at Monett Nazarene.
CBCO Blood Drive set for July 22
The Central Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will host the Monett Boots, Badges, and Bandages Blood Drive on July 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 418 E. Boadway St. in Monett. Fire, police and local EMS will be competing to see who can get the most blood donations. While supplies last, successful donors will receive a day pass to SuperSplash USA, an event T-shirt and an entry into a $10,000 dream vacation giveaway. 3rd Annual Wild Game Feed at YMCA
The 3rda Annual Wild Game Feed is set for Saturday, July 26 at 5 p.m. at the Monett Area YMCA, located at 115 S. Lincoln Ave. in Monett. Hosted by SWMO Wild Game Feed, the event features assortment of activities, raffles, games and free adventure signups. The organization has already given more than 150 fishing poles away, taken 100 children, women and veterans on guides hunting and fishing trips, as well as provided 100 acres of Foodplot Seed. Signups for spoonbill and catfishing trips, along with a Women’s Upland Hunt, are some of the offerings this year.
