All-Big 8, All-District postseason honors greet Cubs


6 Monett baseball players earn awards

While the baseball season has ended in Missouri, the postseason honors have rolled in for the Cubs.
Aiden Clapper earned a First Team All-Big 8 selection as an outfielder and a Third Team nod as a pitcher.
Miles Young joined his teammate with a First Team award as an infielder.
Carson Burtrum claimed a Second Team accolade as a pitcher
Landyn Brandt picked up a Third Team selection an outfielder.
Samuel Carr was also a Third Team selection as an infielder.
The All-District Team is as follows:
First Team: Drew Sherwood, Jagger Wilson, Hagen Ginger, Grant Houchin, Seneca; Sean Creasey, Memphis Mooneyham, Max Holland; Aurora; Aidan Clapper, Carson Burtrum, Miles Young, Monett; Braiden VanLue, Will Eichelberger, East Newton and Masin Bryan, Cassville.
Second Team: Silas Ball, Seneca; Jayden Carpenter, Aurora; Landyn Brandt, Samuel Carr, Michael Privett and Monett; Braxton Wolfe, East Newton; Josh Mathis, Carson Rinehart, East Newton; Bodee Rose, Easton Hughes, Evan Butler, and Simon Gates, Cassville.
