Resurfacing project on Highway 37, Business 60 in Monett to begin week of June 8

Drivers can expect lane closures and occasional traffic delays on Missouri Route 37 and Business 60 in Barry and Lawrence counties through Monett for a resurfacing project beginning the week of June 8, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

This is the work being done on this project:

• Business 60 from Lawrence County Route H (Cleveland Avenue) south to U.S. Route 60: Contractor will remove current pavement and replace with a new surface

In addition, contractor crews will add permanent striping and rumble strips in areas.

Traffic impacts:

• Traffic reduced to one lane where contractor crews are working

• Drivers will encounter flaggers and pilot cars where crews are working. Drivers should wait for the pilot vehicle before proceeding through the work zone or before entering the work zone from a side road.

• Work on Route 37 will be done during nighttime hours, 6 p.m.-7 a.m., Sunday-Thursday

• All lanes will be open during daytime hours

• Work on Business 60 will mostly be done during daytime hours

• All lanes open during nighttime hours

• No signed detour

• Drivers should find alternate routes

• Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zones

• Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling delays could alter the work schedule.
