A new monument has been placed at the northeast corner of Front and Sixth Street in Monett at Freedom Park, prepared by the Tom Wolfe VFW Post No. 4207 in honor of veterans. The back of the monument bears the words "There is no greater act of unselfishness than risking one's life for God-Family-Country." Murray Bishoff/special to the Monett Monthly
