The Monett Soccer Club hosted the Monett World Cup Tournament in June for ages U8, U9, U10, U13 and adult. Twenty total teams competed in the two-day knockout tournament at Burl Fowler Stadium, with proceeds from the event benefitting the Club’s fall season. Teams came from Springdale, Ark.; Green Forest, Ark.; Carthage; Neosho; and Monett. Monett Soccer Club. Monett SC’s 2015 team has won back-to-back championships at Lake Country in Springfield, so the team is moving to the Heartland League in Kansas City this fall. Contributed photos
