Man injured in scooter wreck
Vehicle runs stop sign north of Butterfield
A Cassville man was injured on Monday in a wreck at 3:05 p.m. on Farm Road 1095, one mile north of Butterfield.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Alan-Michael Purdy, 26, of Noel, was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado northbound when his vehicle ran a stop sign and struck a westbound Solana scooter, being driven by Randy Garrett, 41, of Cassville.
Garrett suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Purdy was not injured.
Garrett was wearing a safety device, and Purdy was not. The scooter was totaled, and the Chevrolet sustained minor damage.
