Johnny Russell Morgan
Johnny Russell Morgan, age 73, of Washburn, Missouri passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at his home.
He was born August 16, 1948, in Washburn, Missouri, the son of Babe and Zelva (Henry) Morgan, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, J.P. Morgan and Junior Babe Morgan and his grandparents.
Surviving are one brother, Jackie Morgan and his special friend Mae Bell Lynd of Butterfield, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.
Johnny received his education at Washburn and graduated from Southwest High School and was drafted by the US Army in 1966. Upon his return from the Vietnam War, he went to work catching chickens, turkeys and ducks for Donnie Smith. In 1976 he began working in the paint line for Fasco, retiring from there in 2010. Some of his favorite pastimes were playing pool and outdoor activities. He was an avid baseball fan, especially the New York Yankees and enjoyed WWF Wrestling.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Dent Cemetery west of Washburn under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Rick Hendrix will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
