Woman injured in car-cow collision

Pickup hits animal on Hwy. 90 near Washburn

A Washburn woman was injured on Saturday in a wreck at 9 p.m. on Highway 90, one mile west of Washburn.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cassidy Taylor, 25, of Washburn, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado westbound when her vehicle struck a cow in the roadway.

Taylor suffered minor injuries and was transported by a private party to Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark.

She was wearing a safety device, and the vehicle sustained extensive damage.

The cow did not survive the collision.
