Henry Cobb Putnam, age 73, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, Arkansas.

He was born February 8, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of William Charles and Edith (Vouge) Putnam. On November 26, 2003 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas he was united in marriage to Betty Sue Woods, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Henry Cobb Putnam II of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Frank William Putnam of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two daughters, Danielle Ann Putnam of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Dawn Marie Putnam of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one stepson, Ronney Alexander Pitts of Cassville, Missouri; two stepdaughters, Rhonda Sue Love of Shell Knob, Missouri and Belinda Annette Schilling of Green Forest, Arkansas; one sister, Edith Charlene Matbitche and her husband Jimmy of Brooklyn, New York; twenty-five grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, William Charles Putnam and two sisters, Sarah Henrietta Putnam and Isabelle Ann Humpfrey.

Henry grew up and received his education in Brooklyn, New York where he graduated from high school. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam from May 15, 1967 until March 25, 1970. He was employed as a Question Trades Clerk for the Wall Street Stock Exchange for fifteen years. After moving to Missouri he worked at the Fayetteville VA in Fayetteville, Arkansas as an Environment Specialist from where he retired. He was a member of DAV and the VFW. He enjoyed sports and watching TV. He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Fernando Villegas will conduct the services. Burial with military honors will be at 1:30 P.M. at Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
