4 injured in Hwy. 37 wreck

Vehicle crosses center line south of Monett

Three Purdy residents and a Cassville teenager were injured on Thursday in a wreck at 12:15 p.m on Highway 37, one mile south of Monett.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, A 17-year-old male, of Cassville, was driving a 2010 GMC Terrain northbound when his vehicle crossed the center of the road into the path of a 2012 Buick Enclave, being driven by Elizabeth Abramovitz, 51, of Purdy.

Abramovitz suffered moderate injuries. She had two passengers in the vehicle. Clara Dodson, 78, of Purdy, suffered serious injuries, and Louanna Dodson, 82, of Purdy, suffered minor injuries.

The Cassville teenager suffered serious injuries. All four were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

The teen and Abramovitz were wearing safety devices, and the two Dodson women were not. Both vehicles were totaled.
