Tracy Annette Buntin
Tracy Annette Buntin, age 47, of Cassville, Missouri, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 9, 2021. Mrs. Buntin, daughter of Robert Duane and Georgia (Stringer) Jones, was born August 27, 1973, in Monett, Missouri. She graduated in 1991 from Union High School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and subsequently received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree with magna cum laude honors from Missouri State University in 2015. On September 4, 2010, Tracy was united in marriage to Caleb Buntin at the First Baptist Church in Cassville.
Tracy was such a kind woman with a heart of gold who always saw the good in every situation. She would always greet you with her infectious smile and a warm hug. She was very giving and always wanted to help others succeed, and that’s why being a teacher was the perfect job for her; she taught 5th and 6th grade science at Purdy Middle School until she became ill.
One of her greatest accomplishments in life was that of being a mother and grandma, or Nona as she was called. She was very proud of each of them and loved spending any time she could with them. Tracy enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers; she also volunteered her time as a cheer coach for Upward, and went on mission trips to McPherson Woman’s Prison and Cornerstone Transition House, both in Newport, Arkansas, to witness to women and tell of God’s wondrous works. Tracy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cassville, where she taught 5th and 6th grade Sunday school, helped in the nursery and with the Single Moms’ Study Group. She was a dear friend to so many and touched so many lives in her short time with us and will be forever missed.
Survivors include her loving husband, Caleb Buntin, of Cassville; three sons, Tyler Clere and his wife Kayle, of Knob Noster, Missouri, Jacob Clere, of Kirbyville, Missouri, and Silas Buntin, of the home; two daughters, Savannah Buntin, of Monett and her fiancé Ricky Test, of Cassville, and Elizabeth Buntin, of the home; four grandchildren, Hallie Jo, Gabriel, Jase, and Eli; her mother, Georgia Fryar, of Cassville, her mother and father-in-law, Jared and Cindy Buntin, of Cassville; two sisters, Cindy Ontiveros and her husband Ray, of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Kelly Williams and her husband Brandon, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one nephew, Ethan Markwardt, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one niece, Jenna Giesow, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; four uncles, Vernon “Butch” Stringer and his wife Rita, and John Stringer and his wife Gina, all of Eagle Rock, and Thomas Stringer, and Kenny Stringer and his wife Gina, all of Cassville; four aunts, Jeannie Stednitz and her husband Bill, Myrtle Kimble, and Linda Anstaett and her husband Gene, all of Cassville, and Joyce Cook and her husband Kervin, of Wheaton; her brother in-law, Jeremiah Buntin, of Cassville; two sisters-in-law, Sarah Buntin and Abigail Buntin, both of Cassville; and several cousins and many extended family members.
