Jenkins Bridge fund receives $10,000 donation

Wednesday, April 28, 2021
The Jenkins Bridge Foundation extends a big “thank you” to the anonymous donor who has given $10,000 toward the approximately $200,000 it will cost to make repairs on the Jenkins Bridge to meet the specifications for a pedestrian bridge. One music fundraiser was held prior to the COVID shut down. Projects since then have included writing grants, selling T-shirts, and soliciting donations and pledges. A Save the Bridge Day is planned at the bridge for May 8 from 2-5 p.m. The schedule includes music, duck races, food and other activities. For more information, people may contact President Dawna Skaggs or Secretary-Treasurer Denise Prisk on the “Save the Jenkins Bridge” Facebook page or their personal Facebook page, or call Ruby Vincent at 417-574-6323.
