Charles Everett Horner

Charles Everett Horner, 80, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away Monday, April 19, 202,1 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark.

He was born Jan, 22, 1941, in Cassville, the son of Amos Edmond and Lora Ellen (Anderson) Horner. On Oct. 8, 1960, in Butterfield, he was united in marriage to Judith Rose Cates, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Christopher Charles Horner and his wife Katie Mae of Hiwasse, Ark.; two daughters, Kathleen Lynelle Downen and her husband Randall of Bryant, Ark., and Kimberly Ann McCoy and her husband Max of Emporia, Kan,; two brothers, Michael Amos Horner and his wife Louise of Claremore, Okla., and Patrick Horner and his wife Maryann of Cassville: four sisters, Louise Corder of Tulsa, Okla., Jane Harvey of Springfield, Ada Belle Wilmann of Kingman, Texas, and Melanie Jo Tichenor of Springfield; three sisters-in-law, Linda Horner of Independence, Linda Horner of Cassville, and Mary Dale Horner of Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He graduated from Cassville High School. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Arnhart Baptist Church in Purdy. He served in the Army National Guard of Missouri. He was a quality supervisor for machine shops in the state of Missouri, worked for G & R Industries, Garrett Manufacturing, and Clark Industries, and he was a dairy farmer. They moved to Bella Vista, Ark., in 1997. The last 20 years before he retired were spent in the poultry business where he traveled all over the world as a service coordinator training supervisor.

Preceding him in death were his parents; five brothers, Eugene Horner, Larry Weatherly, William Horner, Jack Horner and Paul Horner; two sisters, Maxine Judd and Amali Sue Rogers.

Graveside services with military honors were held at Thursday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Tony Ball conducted the services.
