At 9:00 a.m. Friday morning, Greg Hodge took off on his last big Harley ride. He was greeted by his son, parents and several friends when he came flying in. As we all know, nothing could keep him down, and when it was his time to go, we know he went rolling in with Dusty by his side.
Gregory G. “Greg” Hodge, age 62, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021, at his home.
He was born January 26, 1959, in Cassville, Missouri, the son of Earl and Dorothy (Henson) Hodge. On February 27, 1996, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Stacy James, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Ryan Hodge, Casey McLeod and her husband Dustin, Stephanie Rayburn and Jake Sizemore and his wife Chekota, bonus children, Lucas James and Ké Alani Hodge; grandchildren, Levi, Bodie, Ren, Kenlee, Kiptyn, Emma, Allie, Jade, Gabby, Faith, Frank, Jesse, Blake, Billy and Breanna; and one brother, Ray Dean Hodge and his wife Sandy.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his son Dusty Hodge.
Greg grew up and received his education in Cassville, graduating from Cassville High School. He was employed at Wells Aluminum and Friend Tire for several years. Then he opened and operated D & R Tire. Later he worked as a welder at FASCO Industries for twenty-five years. Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards and loved riding his Harley. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville. Pastor Donnie Spears and Pastor Jerry Yarnall conducted the services.
