Deborah J. “Debbie” Carlson
Deborah J. “Debbie” Carlson, 69, of Heber Springs, Ark., formerly of Cassville, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020, at home.
She was born Jan. 24, 1951, in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Verlin and Emeline “Emmy” (Blackwell) Cook. On Nov. 20, 1970, in Abilene, Kan., she was united in marriage to Jim Carlson, who preceded her in death on April 13, 2014. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Linda Sue Cook and Barbara in infancy.
Survivors include: one son, Jimmy Carlson and his wife Jamie of Cassville; one daughter, Candi Richie and her husband John of Heber Springs, Ark.; one sister, Shirley Munoz and her husband Richard of Florida; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She grew up and received her education in Kansas and graduated from Salina Central High School. She received her associate degree in Cosmetology from Salina Beauty College. In the early 1970s she moved to Missouri and worked at Fasco and also Able 2.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
