Vehicle hits telephone pole, overturns
A Joplin woman was injured Saturday in a wreck at 3:50 p.m. on Highway 86, three miles north of Wheaton.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kimberly Harrell, 55, of Joplin, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound when her vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a telephone pole and overturned.
Harrell suffered serious injuries and was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was not wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.
