Preddy wins JAG competition

Wednesday, July 1, 2020
Robert Preddy took First Place in the state competition for Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG). JAG is a new program to Cassville High School. This is the first time students have competed in the Career Development Conference which consists of pre-event competitions and on-site competitions. Several students competed in the pre-event category for Career Development Conference which included chapter commercial, chapter newsletter, and employability skills to name a few. Preddy competed in employability skills which consisted of two phases: resume and cover letter (phase 1) and application and employment interview (phase 2). His resume and cover letter took First Place, which would have sent him to phase 2 of the competitions on-site. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to compete in phase 2 because of COVID-19 affecting the competition. Contributed photo
