David Vanzant, 61, of Ozark, formerly of Cassville, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Ozark Riverview Manor in Ozark.
He was born April 24, 1959, on the Fort Carson Military Base near Colorado Springs, Colo., the son of Warren and Patricia (Bogart) Vanzant, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include: three brothers, Roy Vanzant of Virginia, Nick Vanzant and his wife Lisa of Golden, and Barry Vanzant of Eagle Rock; three sisters, Debbie Alter of Savannah, Ga., Linda Eoas of Oregon and Ivy Powell and her husband Gregory of Danoco, Colo.
He grew up and received his education in Colorado graduating from high school in Canyon City. During high school he was a member of ROTC. He then spent some time in Galveston, Texas, and later in Fayetteville, Ark., before moving to Eureka Springs. While living in Eureka Springs he was a cook. For several years he worked at Tysonís in the clean-up department.
Several years ago he was a resident of Red Rose Nursing Home in Cassville before entering Ozark Riverview Manor in Ozark.
Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
