Christmas shopping for everyone
‘Open house’ with 25 vendors scheduled for Saturday
With the Christmas season quickly approaching, many local businesses are preparing for an open house event that will invite the community into their business to see what they have to offer.
To help local businesses that do not have store fronts to host an open house in, Crowder College has offered space at the Cassville campus to have vendors set up and sell their products.
Jennifer Privett, event coordinator, said the event is at 4020 Main Street on the Cassville Crowder campus on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“This is the 9th annual Christmas Shopping Extravaganza,” she said. “It started out as direct sale endorsing, like for parties, but we wanted something different.”
Privett said it was decided to bring in vendors that have home-based businesses.
“This allows them to meet more people in the community, get their product out there while having face time with the public,” she said. “These business owners don’t have a store front to display their products.”
Privett said there are about 25 vendors signed up, including:
Diva Bling by Jenn, Blonde Streak Designs, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Scentsy, Thirty One, Skin Renew, Judy Rickman Crafts, Paparazzi, Young Living, Norwex, Color Street, Kole Jax Jewelry and many more.
“We have about the normal number of vendors signed up,” Privett said. “New this year will be a face painting booth, and as usual, photos with Santa.”
Privett said there is a photographer that sets up to take the photos with Santa, and then she prints the photos on site so people can take them straight home.
“Between all of the vendors that we have, there will be something for everyone,” she said. “Most are set up so you pay for the product and then take it home, but some can place orders.”
Privett said there will be snacks and goodies available as well.
“We wanted to make it a one-stop shopping experience,” she said.
