Chuck Terrill: Pray for teachers

Wednesday, August 28, 2019

It seems as though every form of immorality has witnessed an unprecedented explosion.

Adultery, premarital sex, co-habitation, rape, incest, homosexuality, child molestation, suicide, alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling, etc., have risen at alarming rates. Uninhibited immorality is negatively affecting America’s children.

Unprecedented anti-Christian cultural forces negatively influence our children’s attitudes. All of the following are contributing to a loss of reasonable morality: movies; music; computer industries; video games; porn; divorce; etc. Perversion has been “normalized,” and those who protest are labeled “intolerant religious bigots.”

There has been an alarming rise in hostility toward Christians and biblical values around the world. Fundamental religious training is waning. In its place, we have seen a massive explosion of cults and false religion. New-Ageism, Astrology, Psychics, Satanism, etc., are bombarding our society.

Our American culture is continuing to warp. I am so thankful that I do not have to face all of the maladies of our society, personally. I couldn’t take it. My faith might give out, and I might give up.

Do you know who carries the weight of these things, personally? Teachers.

Teachers are faced with every ugly sin that ever raised its head. Students bring the pains of their home environments to school — every day.

Students come to class hungry for food, for attention, for a reason to live, for knowledge and for love, and the good teachers in Cassville do all that they can to fill their students up.

As school begins again, pray for our teachers. When you slow down for a school zone turn it into a “Prayer Zone.” Pray aloud with the students in your car. Ask God for a great day of growth for the kids and a day of great joy for their teachers.

Please pray for teachers.

“Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech.” Titus 2:7-8
