Gregory Scott “Greg” Klein

Gregory Scott “Greg” Klein, 54, of Monett, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019.

He was born Aug. 31, 1964, in Clinton, Okla., the son of George G. and Melba M. (Baker) Klein. On Jan. 19, 2014, he was united in marriage to Cathy Simpson, who survives.

Additional survivors inlcude: his father and step-mother, George and Wanda L. Klein of Wichita, Kan.; one son, Scott Klein of Purdy; two stepchildren, Chance Barnes of West Plains, and Abby Halford and her husband Tyler of West Plains; one brother, Ronnie Klein and his wife Teresa of Butler, Okla.; one sister, Teresa Chaloner and her husband Michael of Edmond, Okla., and two grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his mother.

He graduated from high school in Butler, Okla., and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He then worked for Alltel in Oklahoma, and in 1988, transferred to Southwest Missouri. He owned and operated an electrical company in Monett, known as Greg Klein Electric, and he also farmed raising cattle and chickens.

Services were held Sunday, April 14, at First Baptist Church in Purdy, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Bill Banks conducted the services. Graveside services were held April 17 at Butler Cemetery in Butler, Okla.
