New attraction: Valve Cover Racing

The 32nd annual Dogwood Car Show will take place on Saturday on Cassville's downtown square.

Admission is free and will include plenty of family fun, food, door prizes and music.

Classic car enthusiasts will be delighted with rows of gleaming chrome, popping colors, sleek lines and rumbling engines, and will have the chance to take home awards in 20 different categories.

Dash plaques will be given to the first 100 contestants, and there will be a free raffle ticket for $100 cash drawing for registered entries.

Other attractions include a 50/50 Cash Drawing, Thunder at Noon, when all contestants will 'rev' up their engines, Valve Cover Racing, a new feature, which involves racing homemade cars made from old engine valve covers, and the Ford Drive for your Community.

“We would like to encourage all car enthusiasts to attend our 32nd annual Dogwood Car Show," said Brittany Crawford, chamber director.
