Soccer club wins championship game, 3-1

Cassville-based Seven Valleys Soccer Club (SVSC) won the Rogers (Ark.), U-18 soccer league on Saturday.

SVSC went 9-1 during the spring season with 48 goals scored and only 8 goals allowed, toppling previously unbeaten Rogers-Heritage in the championship final, 3-1. “I’m really proud of these guys and the effort they’ve shown all spring,” said Jake Forste, SVSC coach. “We lost in double overtime of the semifinal in this league last year. We’ve worked really hard to put Cassville soccer on the radar, and I think people are starting to take note. We have some dedicated players and parents who are willing to come together and take the next step for our program.”

SVSC is expanding its club soccer offerings from U-10 and U-18 to include U-12 and U-15 this fall.
