Mary “Louise” Edmondson Shultz

Mary “Louise” Edmondson Shultz, age 76, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born September 11, 1940, in Anderson, Texas the daughter of Raymond “Jack” and Bessie Mae (Hammett) Curbo. On December 31, 1988, in Ft. Worth, Texas, she was united in marriage to Frank L. Shultz, Jr., who survives. Also surviving are one son, Roy Edmondson and his wife Heather of Cassville, Missouri; two daughters, Sherry Johnson and her husband Keith of Exeter, Missouri, and Rachel Edmondson-Sheats of Cassville, Missouri; three step-daughters, Lori Kay Dadgari of Ft. Worth, Texas, Lisa Ivy and her husband Joe of Skiatook, Oklahoma, and Lei Ann Peace and her husband Dean of Alvord, Texas; one brother, Weldon Curbo and his wife Betty of Mineral Wells, Texas; two grandchildren, William and Catherine Edmondson; four step-grandchildren, Ryan Dadgari, Lane Peace, Joshua Sheats and Zach Sheats; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Ramie Phillips and her husband Gene and Carolyn Cook.

The Curbo family moved from West Texas to Powell, Missouri in 1958 where Louise was a 1959 graduate of Rocky Comfort High School.

Louise was a very active in several organizations and supported her children in their school activities: President of Dogwood Trails Garden Club; GFWC Silver Leaf Benefit Club – President twice and District President; Girl Scouts; Cassville FFA Honorary Chapter Farmer Award; Cassville Rainbow Girls Chapter 37; CHS Marching Band; Women’s Circle United Methodist Church; Voted Class Mother of the 1979 CHS Class.

A celebration of life where the family will receive friends will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Cassville.

Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Awareness in memory of Louise.
