Vern Kelly Davidson
Vern Kelly Davidson, 79, of Butterfield, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, in his home.
He was born May 29, 1937, in Mineral Springs, the son of Jack and Gertie (Brandon) Davidson. On Jan. 5, 1957, he was united in marriage to Patricia Linley, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Ricky Davidson and his wife, Louwayne, of Hays, Kan., and Roger Davidson and his wife, Marsha, of Purdy; two brothers, Thomas Davidson and his wife, Katie, of Ozark, and Rev. Bob Davidson and his wife, DeEtta, of Buffalo; one sister, Frances Vanwinkle and her husband, Dale, of Oak Grove, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Jimmy.
He received his education at Mineral Springs rural school. For several years, he worked at Justin Boot, Jumping Jack Shoes, Tyson, George's and was a cook. For 20 years, he owned and operated Vertricia Dog Kennel. He was a member of Butterfield Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Thursday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Tony Ball conducted the services. Burial was at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
