Eagle Rock man facing drug, theft charges
26-year-old allegedly caught with 11 grams of meth
An Eagle Rock man is facing three felony charges after allegedly being caught with 11 grams of meth and a stolen handgun.
According to a probable cause report filed by Deputy Chris Hutson, with the Barry County Sheriff's Office, Alexander Barker, 26, of Eagle Rock, was located in the driveway at his home on Farm Road 2300, allegedly attempting to make a transaction with an unknown individual.
Barker was allegedly in possession of a digital scale, plastic baggies, 11 grams a crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine and $700 cash.
Barker allegedly allowed deputies to search his camper trailer, where Hutson said a stolen hand gun and a modified single shot shotgun were recovered. Both had several rounds with them. According to Sheriff Mick Epperly, Carroll County, Ark., deputies had followed Barker into Missouri for a domestic dispute, and they called Barry County deputies when the drugs were discovered.
Barker, arrested on Sunday, originally had a $30,000 cash only bond, but after being arraigned on Tuesday, the bond was modified to $20,000 cash or corporate surety. A case review has been scheduled for June 24 at 7:30 a.m. in the courtroom of Judge Robert Foulke.
