Issue with CenturyLink equipment knocks out service for 2 days

After multiple days of in-and-out phone service, the Cassville school district can now answer calls again.

Superintendent Richard Asbill said the district thinks service went out on Saturday night. Asbill noticed the issue on Sunday when he was in the office. He said CenturyLink technicians reset the phone system and got it online, but the system went down again Sunday evening.

After being out all day on Monday, two CenturyLink technicians solved the issue on Tuesday at about 2 p.m.

"It was not our equipment, so there was nothing we could do about it," he said. "It's not like w just weren't answering the phones."

Asbill said the latest report he received indicates there are no more problems expected.

"We are taking all calls and reviewing messages now," he said.
