David Fletcher, 62, of Washburn, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at Cox South in Springfield. He was born on Dec. 3, 1953, son of Vernon Carl and Shirley Ann (Tobias) Fletcher, in Manhattan, Kan. Upon graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War. He was a cabinetmaker for most of his life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washburn.
Survivors include: one son Cory Fletcher, of Lee's Summit; one grandson; and two sisters, Mary Scott, of Branson, and Janette Moore, of Exeter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Sharon Hill, and half-sister Pamela McCune.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Memorial graveside services were held Friday, at Union Cemetery near Longview, with Pastor Jim Erwin officiating.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville.
