Seligman man injured in Washburn wreck
71-year-old charged with DWI after incident
A Seligman man suffered minor injuries and was charged with driving while intoxicated Wednesday after a wreck at about 5:40 p.m. on Highway 37 in Washburn.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Raymond Stanley, 71, of Seligman, was driving a 1999 Dodge Ram southbound when his vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, struck a curb, went back across the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Stanley suffered minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark.
He was not wearing a safety device, and the vehicle suffered moderate damage. He was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated and was released for medical attention.
