Area community members are encouraged to help the Cassville Lady Wildcats raise funds for Parkinson Disease research during the team's Make a Difference fundraiser on Monday night. CHS will host the Monett Cubs, and the varsity game will begin around 7 p.m.

"So many schools have done the Pink Out nights to raise funds for breast cancer research," said Cassville coach Chris Shore. "We wanted to do something like that.

"My dad was diagnosed with Parkinson Disease this fall," continued Shore. "It it really close to home for me. I decided we would pursue this and hopefully make it an annual thing."

The Lady Wildcats will be selling T-shirts for $10 each. The shirts will be silver, which is the color designated to recognize Parkinson Disease research. The back of each shirt will read "Make a Difference Parkinson Disease Research."

Parents and community members are invited to pre-order the T-shirts by calling Shore at 847-7834. Payment must be received in advance.

On Feb. 4, both Monett and Cassville players will wear the T-shirts during warmups. The Lady Wildcats will also wear the shirts during the game.

In addition to the T-shirts, the Lady Wildcats will hold a 50/50 drawing at the end of the third quarter of the varsity game.

Shore and the Lady Wildcats hope to raise $300 during the Make a Difference fundraiser. All proceeds will be donated to the St. Louis Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association.
