Eva Maye "Pat" Leonard, 89, of Shell Knob, passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at the home of her daughter in Lee's Summit.

She was born Dec. 3, 1921, in Grand Junction, Colo., the daughter of Irven Louis and Katie Mae (Wages) Patton. On Dec. 27, 1941, she was united in marriage to Carl Leonard, who preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1990. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one sister; one brother; and one grandson.

Survivors include: one daughter, Katie Robson and her husband, Tery, of Lee's Summit; one son, Edward Leonard and his wife, Diana, of Kansas City; one brother, Lawrence Patton, of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Esther Chamberlain, of Bend, Ore.; three grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She received her education at Holiness Bible School in Gravette, Ark., where she graduated from high school. She then attended Kansas City College in Overland Park. For several years, she was employed at Hallmark Cards. In 1981, she moved from Independence to Shell Knob to make her home. She was a life-time member of VFW.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
