Lola Terry, 98, of Purdy, passed away at her home Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, with her family by her side. She was born Aug. 31, 1912, in Jenkins, to Robert Elisha and Deila (Passley) Henson. She united in marriage to Norman Terry on May 16, 1936, in Purdy. He preceded her in death on Sept.10, 1972.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Arnhart Baptist Church of Purdy and the Arnhart WMU.

Survivors include: two sons, Paul Terry, of Purdy, and Roger Terry and wife, Virginia, of Monett; two daughters, Joyce Kelly and husband, Leon, of Monett, and Jo Ellen Stults and husband Charles, of Purdy; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, along with four brothers, Alvin Henson, Newell Henson, Orville Henson and Virgil Henson; and four sisters, Alta Davis, Allie Holloway, Violet Lee and Alma Terry.

Services were held 2 p.m. Sunday at Arnhart Baptist Church in Purdy with Rev. Jerry Williams and Rev. John Duncan officiating. Burial followed at the Arnhart Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the care of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home Monett.
