Frances Lakin, 79, of Washburn, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at her home. She was born April 4, 1931, at Eureka Springs, Ark., to Cleo Thomas David and Dorothy Ludgenbeal David. She was employed at St. Mary's Hospital for many years in housekeeping. She was a Christian. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ruffes Lakin; one daughter, Donna Burkett; six sisters, Patsy David, Evelyn Brown, Lucille Bowman, Lavera Byers, Joada VanHook and Berniece Evans; one brother, Roland David; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include: two sons, Tom Lakin and David Lakin, both of Washburn; one brother, Ross David, of Pea Ridge, Ark.; two sisters, Stella Killer, of Little rock and Joyce Raymer, of Pea Ridge, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was held Dec. 21 at Ruddick Cemetery with Rev. Anthony Lane officiating. Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge, Ark., was in charge of arrangements.
