Ruby Lorene Fletcher, 86, of Washburn, passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, in her home.

She was born June 9, 1924, in Star Hollow near Washburn, the daughter of John and Effie (Snook) Day. On April 16, 1942, in Washburn, she was united in marriage to Dow E. Fletcher, who preceded her in death on March 15, 1994. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two daughters, one son, five brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren.

Survivors include: five sons, Gary Fletcher and his wife, Donna, of Garfield, Ark., Lynn Fletcher and his wife, Cathy, of Pea Ridge, Ark., Denny Fletcher and his wife, Judy, of Washburn, Doc Fletcher and his wife, Dannis, of Rogers, Ark., and Joel Fletcher and his wife, Angela, of Bentonville, Ark.; seven daughters, Norma Morgan and her husband, Larry, of Washburn, Sally Williams and her husband, David, of Bentonville, Ark., Brenda Mabry, of Washburn, Linda Nel and her husband, Dolf, of Vinita, Okla., Judy Johnson and her husband, Keith, of Harrodsburg, Ky., Janey Hankins and her husband, Mike, of Crowder, Miss., and Cindy Agee, of Lexington, Ky.; two brothers, Johnny Day and his wife, Thelma, of Exeter, and Gail Day and his wife, Wanda, of Monett; 33 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She grew up near Washburn and received her education at Seven Star School. She was a life-long resident of Washburn, where she was a homemaker. She attended the OK Assembly of God Church at Washburn.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Mike Hankins conducted the services. Burial was at Cargile Cemetery, Washburn.
