Henry R. "Rex" Fulford, 65, of Rocky Comfort, passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2009.

He was born March 1, 1944, in Snyder, Texas, the son of Ezra and Della Edna (Tatum) Fulford. On Aug. 22, 1970, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Isham, who preceded him in death on March 19, 2007. Also preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include: his son, John Fulford, of Rocky Comfort; his daughter, Khris Johnston and her husband, Glen, of Rocky Comfort; a sister, Inez Eckert, of Exeter; and five grandchildren.

He received his education in Wheaton, where he graduated from high school. He attended two years of college. From Jan. 31, 1963, until Jan. 25, 1967, he served in the United States Navy. He was a pipe fitter for nuclear construction. He was a member of Wheaton and Cassville V.F.W. and Mt. Olive Church in Fairview.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Creason Cemetery, Ridgley, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Tony Intessimone will conduct the services.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
