• Lady Trojans get past Monett. The Southwest girls' squad beat Monett in the Lady Trojans' first contest of the year. Southwest started strong and then held off the Lady Cubs to win 51-46. Jessica Mitchell led Southwest with 17 points. Brittany Clifton and Chelsea Sneed added 13 and 10 respectively.

• Exeter girls fall to Crane. The Lady Tigers could only do so much. In a close contest, the squad scored two points less than Crane in the first quarter and one point less in every quarter that followed, losing 50-55. Whitney Edie led all scorers with 27.

• Wheaton takes down Blue Eye JV. The Lady Bulldogs rebounded from their opening loss to Cassville by beating the Blue Eye JV squad 47-35. Wheaton led 35-12 heading into the fourth quarter before letting some of their starters rest. Haley Goostree led all scorers with 18.
