Earl "Bud" Thomas, 61, of Cassville died on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at St. John's Hospital, Joplin.

He was born on Nov. 9, 1945, in Cassville, the son of Earl R. Thomas and Anna Mae (Anderson) thomas. He married Bonnie Ann (Towe) Thomas on May 21, 1996, in Victorville, Calif., she survives. He was a lifelong resident of Cassville and owner/operator of his own truck for over 40 years.

Additional survivors include: three daughters, Julie Thomas and her husband, Robert, of Cassville, Katie Stapleton, of Bentonville, Ark., and Carol Russell, of Eagle Rock; four grandchildren; two brothers, Clinton Clark and his wife, Peggy, of Exeter, and Jerry Clark and his wife, Alice, of Butterfield; five sisters, Sue Horn and her husband, Richard, of Butterfield, Sandra Lee Clark, of Exeter, Victoria McFarland, of Rocky Comfort, Anna Epperly and her husband, Mickey, of Shell Knob, and Patsy Hattery, of Wyandotte, Okla. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carol Anderson.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
