Charles Robert Fitzpatrick, 63, of Eagle Rock, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, in his home.

He was born Oct. 25, 1943, in Brooklyn, N. Y., the son of Helen Fitzpatrick. On Oct. 7, 1971, in Reno, Nev., he was united in marriage to Karen Dickerson, who survives.

Additional survivors include: three daughters, Dawn "Tuzzy" French, of Eagle Rock, Heather McGuire and her husband, Curtis, of Monett, and Amanda Fitzpatrick, of Eagle Rock; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Doris Snodgrass.

He received his education in New York and graduated from Bronx High School and Modesto, Calif., Junior College. He had been employed with Del Monte Foods several years as a forklift operator. During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Army. Thirty years ago, he moved from Modesto to Eagle Rock to make his home.

He was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, VFW and Disabled American Veterans. He was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He helped raise money for the current Senior Center in Cassville.

Graveside services with military honors were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Roach Cemetery, Eagle Rock. Rev. Jim Clay conducted the services.
