Thomas Vincent Bauer, 61, died Nov. 6, 2006, at his home in Shell Knob.

He was born on Aug. 21, 1945, in Chicago, Ill., the son of George A. and Lorraine A. Taylor Bauer. He attended Bishop Hogan Catholic School in Kansas City and served in the US Coast Guard in Kansas City, and St. Louis. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge # 4155 and the American Legion Post #788 all in Shell Knob.

He married Ellen S. Gorton Shulz on Feb. 14, 2000, in Eureka Springs, Ark. She survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Shawn Bauer and his wife, Holly, of Pacifica, Calif.; five brothers; Jerry Bauer and his wife, Dayle, of Shell Knob, Phillip Bauer, of Kansas City, Larry Bauer, of Denver, Colo., David Bauer, of Midwest City, Okla., and Danny Bauer, of Kansas City; and two sisters, Gorgia Walker, of Raymore, and Lorraine Appel, of Liberty.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home in Cassville.
