Buttrums, Harmon lead SW thinclads

Glen Buttrum, beaten only once this season in the 3,200 meter run, continued his dominance of local runners with a strong 10:24.36 winning performance at the Pierce City Eagle Relays on Tuesday, April 18. The Southwest senior's time moved him into sixth place on the All-Time Trojan List.

Sophomore Codie Harmon also recorded a personal best, winning the triple jump with a 39'6" measurement. Harmon also placed fifth in the long jump, and Randy Burns was fourth in the high jump to help the Trojans score in all the jumping events.

Freshman Dustin Breedlove raced to fifth in the 800-meter dash with a 2:14.56 clocking with Luke Hackett seventh in 2:17. Breedlove also anchored the third place 1,600- meter relay for Southwest.

Charlotte Buttrum placed fourth in the girls 3,200-meter run at Pierce City in 13:39, after taking second at Ash Grove with a 13:34 performance. Katrina Harmon was sixth in 14:26.
