Cassville Speech and Debate competes in Webb City

Cassville High School’s Speech and Debate team traveled to Webb City recently to compete in the Webb City Tournament. The following CHS students made it to finals: Sam Sparkman and Jillian LeCompte, for informative speaking; Kalia Miller, for program of oral interpretation; Tierany Sloan and Josh Case, for duo acting; and Jillian LeCompte, for humorous interpretation. Debate wins from the tournament include: Eli Pickett, who placed first in Lincoln Douglas debate; Treva Samuel and Audrey Gosvener, who placed third in public forum debate; and Kalia Miller and Taylor McCorkle, who placed second in public forum debate. LeCompte (left) placed and collected a trophy at the tournament for her humorous interpretation. Miller (right) also placed and collected a trophy for her program of oral interpretation.
