Cassville student wins JAG essay contest

Kelsey Harris, left, senior at Cassville High School, was recently selected as the local winner of the Jobs for American Graduates (JAG) essay contest, which asked students enrolled in the program to answer the following question: “What has made Missouri great over the past 200 years?” Harris, daughter of Casey and Lance Parsons, was invited alongside other winners from across the state to a reception at the Capitol Rotunda in Jefferson City, where they were honored by Governor Mike Parson. JAG compiled all winning essays and created a book for the winners as a keepsake. Contributed photo
