Robertson winner of ‘We Love Teachers’ campaign

Victoria Robertson, Cassville High School communication arts teacher, was recently awarded $500 through Arvest Bank’s annual "We Love Teachers" campaign.

Robertson said she plans to use the money to purchase grade-level books as well as books her students are interested in based on their feedback. She is also considering purchasing a new piece of furniture to help give her classroom a little more space.

“I think it's incredible that Arvest Bank has started this initiative to recognize teachers,” said Tyler Willis, Cassville High School principal. “It's a great opportunity for the community to share their appreciation for the hard work our teachers do every day. I know the nominations mean so much to them, and the fact that Ms. Robertson won the $500 gift for her classroom is even more exciting.  She's very deserving, and I know it meant the world to her.”

The Arvest initiative to honor educators was launched on Sept. 13. Nominations were accepted via the Arvest Bank Facebook page and a random selection took place on Sept. 19. The "We Love Teachers" campaign is designed to recognize and provide support to teachers throughout the Arvest footprint. Arvest has awarded prize money to individual teachers throughout Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
