‘Meet Slugger, the Haven of the Ozarks Pet of the Week. This volunteer favorite has been waiting a long time for his forever home. He was adopted from the Haven as a puppy back in 2013. He lived in that home until 2016 when he was returned for not getting along with the kids’ friends who visited the home. Although Slugger lived with human children of his own, a place with only teens and adults is recommended for this boy. Slugger is a very loyal dog. He loves affection and will be protective of his home and people. He loves belly rubs, going for walks – he has great leash manners – running around with his dog friend Scout, and getting treats. Slugger can be dog selective, so a meet and greet with potential dog siblings is suggested. No cats, please. Slugger is housetrained and enjoys lounging around on a comfy bed right where his people are spending their time. He will be a truly wonderful companion for his new family. For more information, call 417-835-3647 or meet him at the Haven, open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day of the week. Meet Stockton and Slugger, the Haven of the Ozarks Pets of the Week.

Meet Stockton, the Haven of the Ozarks Pet of the Week. Stockton is a handsome kitty who was born at the Haven back in May. He and several siblings are still waiting for homes. They are playful, friendly, and well-socialized. They are litterbox trained and have known nothing but good indoor care since they were born. The Haven is a great place, but it’s no substitute for a real home. Meet Stockton and his siblings at the Haven, open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day of the week. For more information, call 417-835-3647.
