Notice to Cassville class of 2016

Cassville High School will be purging the cumulative school records for the graduating class of 2016. People who would like to have their records must pick them up in person at Cassville High School between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.† If unable to pick them up in person and someone else can do it with a signed, written request.

Cassville Friends of Library hosting book sale

The Cassville Friends of the Library will host a book sale this week, beginning today (Wednesday) for Friends of the Library members only (memberships available at the door, from 4-7 p.m. Thursday is best selection day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday is buy one, get one free day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday is the bag sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale includes a huge selection of fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and non-book items. All proceeds support Cassville Branch Library activities.

Breakfast fundraiser at Central Crossing Senior Center

The Central Crossing Senior Center will host a French toast breakfast on Sept. 25 from 8-10 a.m. This fundraiser will feature French toast, bacon, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee for a free-will donation.†The†Central Crossing Senior Center is located at 20801 YY-15 just off Highway YY in Shell Knob. Donations will be used for services for seniors. For additional information about the Center, people may call 417-858-6952 during regular business hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or check out offerings any time at www.shellknobseniorsinc.org.

Capps Creek Road District to meet

Capps Creek Special Road District will hold its regular monthly†meeting on Tuesday at noon at the home of Garry Bartkoski,†located at 5086 Farm Road 2057.

Republican Club to meet

The Barry County Republican Club will meet on Sept. 23 at Steak Inn in Shell Knob at 6:30 p.m.

Bluegrass at Roaring River each Friday

Bluegrass music will be held at Roaring River State Park every Friday through Sept. 24, and on Saturdays through Sept. 25. Bands playing at the shelter include: The Flyin Buzzards, Sugar Mountain Band, The Mayfields, Ozark Mt. Five, No Apparent Reason, Spillwater Drive, Ozark Mt. Revival, Red Bridge Bluegrass, The Bakers & Friends, and the Possum Trot Band. Admission is free and the music goes from 7-9 p.m.

Old Church Gallery Farmersí Market open

The Old Church Gallery Farmersí Market runs every Thursday from 8-11 a.m. The Market offers fresh produce, eggs, jellies, relishes, baked goods, cut flowers and handmade crafts. Visitors are asked to please follow the health guidelines and wear face coverings and practice 6-foot physical distancing while shopping. Old Church Gallery is located on Farm Road 1240 in Shell Knob and can be reached at 417-858-2510.

Seligman dances ongoing each Saturday

The Seligman Chamber of Commerce country dances at the Seligman Chamber Event Center are every Saturday from 7-10 p.m. No alcohol is allowed. Admission is $10 per person, and 18-and-under are free. There is a potluck, 50-50 drawing and door prizes. For more information, people may call 417-662-3612.
