Carol Jean Cole, 78, of Shell Knob, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at her home.

She was born June 4, 1942, in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Donovan and Ruth Florence (Thorson) Addis. On Sept. 3, 1977, she was united in marriage to Thomas Cole, who survives.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Cameron S. Miller and his wife Paula of Mt. Washington, Ky., and Christian L. Miller of Eureka Springs, Ark.; three daughters, Kelley M. Norman of Lawrence, Kan., Angela Mather and her husband Robb of Prattville, Ala., and Amy Scheibler and her husband Ty of Lawrence, Kan.; two brothers, Brian Addis and his wife Mitzi of St. Paul, Minn., and Roger Addis of Edwards, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one grandson; and one great-grandson.

She grew up and received her education in St. Paul, Minn., graduating from Murray High School. She was an administrative assistant for the CFO at Stormont-Vail Health Care in Topeka, Kan. She was a current member of Holiday Island Community Christian Church. Her memberships included Stephen Ministry Prince of Peace and First United Methodist Care Line. She taught Sunday school and confirmation classes at Faith Lutheran Church.
