WinTech hosting job fair, expanding
Company growth means community growth
Wintech Inc., a Monett-based company, has been operating in Cassville for more than a year, and the business is looking to expands.
In 2017, Wintech purchased the old Thorco property in Cassville, and over the years, continuous growth has been seen company-wide.
Jason Hunt, Wintech VP of operations, said in 2019 there were some renovations made to the old Thorco building, and in June 2019, residential and commercial vinyl window manufacturing began operating.
“As we were going through that process, we met some amazing people in the community, the Cassville Chamber members, business owners, city employees and more people in the area,” Hunt said. “We couldn’t have felt more welcomed and encouraged, and it made us proud to be a part of the Cassville community.”
Hunt said he has wanted to say thank you for that feeling for a long time, and now Wintech is able to show that gratitude.
“We have been in operation in Cassville since 2019, but the last half of 2020, we saw an explosive growth,” he said. “We have been able to pick up business, and most significantly, a new contract located in the Denver region.”
This one contract will send out 15,000 window units in 2021.
“Seeing that growth, as well as pursuing other channels close to that scale, has been amazing,” he said. “However, one of the biggest challenges is finding enough employee owners to fill that growth.”
Wintech is looking to hire 10-12 new employee owners for the Cassville plant.
“This business is seasonal, so we expect to look for more employee owners once winter is over,” Hunt said. “In addition, if we land one or both of the other channels, we will see this same employee growth again.”
As much of an exciting time as this is for Wintech, Hunt said they hope this opportunity of the Cassville community shows the thanks they felt in their initial welcome.
“Our mission is to build for the employees of this company,” he said. “We can see the growth in the community as a fulfillment of that mission.”
One of the channels that Wintech is pursuing in 2021 is in its own region.
“This is important,” Hunt said. “If we can replicate that experience all over the country, it will drive growth for years. This is a pivotal year for us, and we need employee owners to execute this year well. With that, the sky is the limit as we move forward.”
In hopes of drawing in those employee owners to start the 2021 year of with a bang, Wintech Cassville is hosting a job fair on Jan. 20.
“The event starts at 1 p.m. at our plant on Sale Barn Road,” Hunt said. “We will be set up to take as many applications as we can get and do interviews on the spot. We hope to hire at least 10 people that day.”
Hunt said Wintech is looking for employee owners who show up consistently for work and want to be a part of something that they have ownership in for a long time.
